Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent. Drain any excess grease.

Add the uncooked rice, beef broth, diced tomatoes with their juice, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes, or until the rice is tender.

Remove the foil and sprinkle both types of cheese over the top of the casserole. Return to the oven and bake, uncovered, for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving to allow it to set.
