Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 6 strips bacon.
02 - 2 small chicken breasts.
03 - 2 cups uncooked rotini pasta.
04 - 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded.
05 - 2 tablespoons butter.
06 - 2 tablespoons flour.
07 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic.
08 - 2 cups half and half.
09 - 2 tablespoons dry ranch seasoning mix.
10 - 1 teaspoon onion powder.
11 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
12 - Salt and pepper to taste.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook bacon over low heat until crispy. Save drippings and chop the bacon when cool.
02 - Slice chicken breasts into thin pieces. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook in bacon drippings for 3-4 minutes per side. Rest for 5 minutes, then cube the chicken.
03 - Boil rotini pasta in salted water. Cook until al dente and then drain.
04 - Melt butter in a pan and cook garlic. Add flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually warm and add half and half. Stir in ranch seasoning and cheese until melted.
05 - Add cooked pasta to the sauce. Mix in chicken and top with chopped bacon.
06 - Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Top with an additional 1.5 cups of cheese and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

02 - Use freshly shredded cheese for best melting.
03 - Any short pasta works well.
