Combine chicken broth, celery, onion, and chicken breasts in a large stockpot or Dutch oven.

Bring to boil, then reduce to simmer. Cover partially and cook about 15 minutes until chicken is done.

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk until dough forms. Roll out on floured surface to 1/4 inch thick and cut into 1-2 inch rectangles.

Remove cooked chicken, celery, and onion from pot. Discard vegetables and shred chicken.

Drop dough pieces into simmering broth. Cook 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until dumplings are done and broth thickens.

Return shredded chicken to pot. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
