Warm Chocolate Fudge Pudding Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cake Batter

01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
04 - 2 teaspoons baking powder
05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/2 cup milk
07 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
08 - 1 large egg yolk
09 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
10 - 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

→ Fudge Layer

11 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
12 - 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
13 - 1 cup boiling water

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
02 - Whisk 1/2 cup sugar with 1/4 cup cocoa powder. Set aside.
03 - Mix dry ingredients. Combine wet ingredients separately. Stir together until just combined, fold in chocolate chips.
04 - Spread batter in pan. Sprinkle with cocoa-sugar mixture. Pour boiling water over top - do not stir.
05 - Bake 22-24 minutes until top is cracked and sauce bubbles. Cool 10 minutes before serving warm.

01 - Serve warm with vanilla ice cream
02 - Can add chocolate syrup or whipped cream for extra indulgence
03 - Stores in refrigerator up to 3 days
