Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine sour cream, cream of chicken soup, melted butter, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Layer half of the potatoes in the baking dish. Top with half the kielbasa slices and half the diced onion. Spread half the sour cream mixture over the layer and sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.

Repeat with remaining potatoes, kielbasa, onion, sour cream mixture, and cheese.

Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.

Remove foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and potatoes are tender.
