Crack Chicken Penne (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 10 ounces penne pasta.
02 - 8 slices bacon, chopped.
03 - 1½ pounds chicken breasts, cut in 1-inch cubes.
04 - ½ yellow onion, finely diced.
05 - 3 garlic cloves, minced.
06 - 2 cups chicken broth.
07 - 1 cup sour cream.
08 - 4 ounces cream cheese.
09 - 1 packet ranch dressing mix.
10 - 1 teaspoon salt.
11 - 1 teaspoon black pepper.
12 - 2 teaspoons dried parsley.
13 - 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded.
14 - Green onions for topping.

# Instructions:

01 - Boil penne until just tender. Drain, rinse with cold water and set aside.
02 - Fry chopped bacon until crispy. Take out and drain on paper towels.
03 - Leave a spoon of bacon fat in pot. Add chicken cubes with salt and pepper, cook until brown.
04 - Add onion and cook until soft. Mix in garlic and cook one more minute.
05 - Pour in broth, sour cream, cream cheese, ranch mix, seasonings and bacon. Stir and bring to gentle boil, then lower heat.
06 - Mix in cheese and pasta. Let it bubble gently for 5 minutes.
07 - Top with green onions and serve hot.

01 - Save a bit of bacon and cheese to sprinkle on top if desired.
