Ground Beef Stroganoff (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 6 ounces egg noodles.
02 - 1 pound ground beef.
03 - 1/4 cup butter.
04 - 1/4 cup flour.
05 - 1 cup beef broth.
06 - 1 1/4 cup milk.
07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
10 - 3/4 teaspoon salt.
11 - 1/4 cup sour cream.

# Instructions:

01 - Boil noodles according to package directions, then set aside.
02 - Brown ground beef over medium heat 6-8 minutes until no pink remains. Drain fat.
03 - Melt butter, whisk in flour and cook 2 minutes.
04 - Gradually whisk in broth until thickened, then milk. Cook 5-7 minutes until creamy.
05 - Add garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and salt.
06 - Add noodles, beef and sour cream. Mix until heated through.

# Notes:

01 - Use lean ground beef to minimize draining.
02 - Can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
03 - Optional: add up to 1/2 cup fresh mushrooms.
04 - Recipe doubles well for leftovers.
