Honey Garlic Shrimp & Sausage (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound fresh large shrimp, shells removed.
02 - 8 ounces smoked sausage, cut into half-inch rounds.
03 - 2 cups fresh broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces.
04 - 4 cloves fresh garlic, finely chopped.
05 - 1/4 cup pure honey.
06 - 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce.
07 - 1 tablespoon olive oil.
08 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes.
10 - Salt and black pepper to taste.
11 - Cooked rice or quinoa for serving.
12 - Fresh parsley or cilantro for topping.

# Instructions:

01 - Stir together honey, soy sauce, chopped garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes in a bowl until well mixed.
02 - Heat oil in your pan and cook sausage pieces until they turn golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes. Move them to a plate.
03 - Add shrimp to the hot pan with salt and pepper. Cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Put them with the sausage.
04 - Cook broccoli in the same pan for 4-5 minutes until bright green but still crisp. Add a splash of water if needed to help it steam.
05 - Put everything back in the pan, pour in the sauce, and stir while cooking until the sauce gets thick and coats everything nicely.
06 - Put over hot rice or quinoa and top with fresh herbs if you like.

# Notes:

01 - Try different sausages like andouille or chicken sausage.
02 - Works great with other vegetables like peppers or green beans.
03 - Keeps in the fridge for 3-4 days.
04 - Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
05 - Great for low-carb diets when served with cauliflower rice.
