Hot Honey Chicken Biscuits (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1.5-2 pounds chicken tenders or sliced chicken breasts.
02 - 1.5 cups all-purpose flour for coating.
03 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt.
04 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
05 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder.
06 - 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika.
07 - 1 egg plus 2 tablespoons water.
08 - Oil for frying.
09 - 2 cups flour for biscuits.
10 - 1 tablespoon baking powder.
11 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt for biscuits.
12 - 1/4 teaspoon baking soda.
13 - 1/2 cup cold butter plus 1/4 cup melted.
14 - 3/4 cup buttermilk.
15 - 1 cup honey.
16 - 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes.
17 - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oil to 375F. Mix coating ingredients. Dredge chicken in flour, egg, then flour again. Fry 8-10 minutes until golden.
02 - Mix dry ingredients. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Add buttermilk. Fold dough three times. Cut biscuits, bake at 450F for 15-17 minutes.
03 - Simmer honey with pepper flakes. Remove from heat, stir in vinegar. Cool to room temperature.
04 - Split biscuits, add chicken piece, drizzle with hot honey. Add pickles if desired.
